Officers
Four members are required to start a new chapter and more positions can be added to your board at your chapter’s discretion. These four members will act as the officers for the chapter: President, Communications Director, Political Director, and Secretary.
- President – Grows membership and plans meetings.
- Communications Director – Engages with media.
- Political Director – Directs membership on legislative activities and stays on top of legislative prerogatives in the state.
- Secretary – Maintains information on money, members, and meetings.
Responsibilities
New chapters should canvass the current marijuana policy framework in their state and decide on goals to support. Reaching out to other marijuana groups in the state in order to join efforts can be very informative and helpful. RAMP chapters will grow their group to find a RAMP member in each legislative district that can consistently communicate with their representatives in support of marijuana law reform. A monthly meeting should be organized and publicly advertised to keep members informed of legislative action and to introduce RAMP to new members. Though RAMP does not support drug abuse (legal or illegal), we believe this is a freedom issue and prohibition is an abject failure.
